From the variety of our dehydrated vegetable ingredients, Newland which is an agro allied company specialized in processing air dried vegetables; present to you this delicious white button mushrooms, sometimes known by their French name of champignons. The dehydrated Champignons are the dried form of the common white button mushrooms normally seen at the supermarkets or stores. They are by far the most popular type of mushroom.

Our drying processes do not involve the use of salt, preservatives, colorants or chemicals. We also do not use liquid paraffin or sulfur dioxide. It takes 12 kilos of fresh mushrooms to make one kilo of dried product. We double wash our fresh Chinese mushroom by hand and automation equipment before we dehydrate, then we sun drying for some time to create a good condition for air dehydration in the drying tunnels after hand slicing. We at Newland know that any high moisture containing mushroom slice will have negative effect on other finished product, so we carefully hand inspect slice by slice to remove the moisture containing ones and we then go through the drying stages again.

Try our dried Champignon slice and you will find out that dried button mushrooms have a much more intense flavor than the fresh ones. To rehydrate, place the mushrooms in boiling water for two to four minutes. They are especially well suited for soups, stews, gravies, casseroles, pasta dishes and other dishes that call for white button mushrooms. You can also serve our dried Champignon slice as a side dishes after sautéing them in garlic, shallots, parsley and thyme.

A recent study suggests that champignon mushrooms contain phytochemical that may be very useful for fighting prostate cancer.
